1950-07-30: Geneva F1, C-04, Ferrari 340F1, #40 Alberto Ascari, engine
In that Geneva race Ascari drove a completely new GP / F1 car (C-04) which combined all developments (2320 mm wheelbase, DeDion axle, big block engine) with also a new more modern bodywork. The engine was now enlarged to 4.1 litre, thus tipo 340.

1950-07-30: Geneva F1, C-01, Ferrari 275F1, #42 Luigi Villoresi, accident

Ferrari 275. This car was then raced by Villoresi at Geneva on 30 July, resulting in a horrible crash which killed 3 spectators and sent Villoresi to hospital for the rest of the season.

Roberto Mieres drove a Ferrari 166F2/49 owned by the Equipo Argentino "Archille Varzi". He finished fourth in the race.
